Pantaloons Femina Miss India Universe 2008 is Simran Kaur Mundi.

Femina Miss India 2008
Winsome beauties, (From L) Miss India (Earth) Harishta Saxena, Miss India (World) Parvati and Miss India (Universe) Simran Kaur, give a picture perfect pose at the Pantaloons Femina Miss India ‘08 contest.

There are also the sub-winners and other info can be found on the live page by Femina Miss India.

The final today, started with 28 finalists, which were reduced to 10(ten), then 5(five) and finally the three winners were declared. Beauty contests doesn’t mean only beauty. It requires, beauty with brains. So, this year the question asked to the finalists was :-

“The rate of divorce in India is on a rise. What is the cause? Is western influence the cause or something else?”

Here are the answers of the winners…

Harshita (Miss India Earth) : “Marriages are what we make of it. Divorces are prominent because we don’t have the abilities to sustain them. We have to be more strong and determined as human beings.
Parvathy (Miss India World) : Divorces are not a result of western influence. At the end of the day, it is we who decide whose worth us. Marriage is not when one completes the other but is when both share their completeness.
Simran (Miss India Universe) : The mindset is changing but divorces cannot be attributed to western influences. In fact we need to come up with a system to tackle this dilemma.

Aren’t these answers worth, the prize they got??

one question more : we will be having auditions ,right ? then is it really helpful to send profile to sachin?

    thanks

  10. i think theres too much happening in this forum…a lot of which is incorrect info being passed on…firstly let me introduce myself as an employee of the timesgroup working in the Femina Miss India management..to prove that you can email me on my official id sachin.tahiliani@timesgroup.com and i can subsequently reply to you from there to gain u guys’ trust…you can also check ma facebook profile (search for Sachin Tahiliani) in which again i have mentioned that i m in the FMI mgmt…i had given a hotmail id as we cant receive emails of more than 1 mb on the official id…n obviously the prospective contestants need to send high resolution pictures which wont reach me on ma official id and will bounce back…
also Femina is not the sponsor of the miss india pageant…this pageant is a tie up wid Femina for mutually agreed terms…for this year the sponsor is pantaloons (title sponsor) with various other sponsors in other categories…to get the latest information on FMI, u can either ask me or email ur queries to fmi@timesgroup.com…to further prove my authenticity i would like to you visit http://www.assamtribune.com/sep2008/horizon3.html in which my name is categorically mentioned as a person from the Femina Miss India Managemenr…i was one of the judges for the Eclectic model hunt that happened in Guwahati on the 12th of Spetember, 2008…regarding auditions…v r doin auditions in 14 cities this year…n v have 3 pageants this year: Femina Miss India East (eligibility:if u r born n living in eastern region of India)
Femina Miss India South (eligibility: if u r born n living in southern region of India) & the Femina Miss India which is for people from across India..i can tell u the names of the cities right away where we r doin the auditions…but it wud b more convenient if u tell me where u (Priyanka)live so that i can tell u if v r doin auditions in ur city…ill tell u the date as well so that u can start preparing urself…ive made a faceebook group / page as well for FMI but havent got the time to really update information on it as i m really tied up these days…visit http://www.new.facebook.com/pages/Mumbai-India/Femina-Miss-India/18398098601?ref=ts or search for Femina Miss India page in the search box..having said dat u can b rest assured that all ur queries wil b answered in the best possible manner..if there is anything that i can help with then let me know…hope i have been convincing enuf :)

  11. Thanx Sachin for clarifying the matter. I hope the participants.. have been largely benefitted by it.

We would all be thankful to you, if you could provide us further details… regarding where the next auditions would be held, issue of forms, submissions etc…
