Infosys planning a wage hike for employees

Software gaint Infosys had a net swept of Rs.4,659 crore in the year 2008-2009 and claims a 20.82% increase over the previous years recorded .

Reflecting this increase in percentage, Infosys planned to hike the salary from 11% to 13% for offshore employees.Also for the onsite employees 2% to 5% hike is expected,said T V Mohandas Pai, Member of the Board

The company incurred a capital expenditure of Rs 431 crore during the quarter.

The Head-HRD and Education and Research, said “The wage hike is expected to impact margins in June quarter by 2.3 per cent. Visa processing cost would impact margins in April-June quarter by 80 basis points.” He also added that”Infosys is planning to hire 25,000 people in this year. We hired 33,177 (gross) employees during fiscal 2008, which is the highest employee addition in any year.”We have made 18,000 campus offers in India”.
