Unity bags two Haryana infrastructure projects

A contract worth Rs.3.83 billion, has been secured by the Civil construction major Unity Infraprojects Limited from Haryana State Roads and Bridges Development Corporation ltd (HSRDC), the company said Tuesday. The project is of Rs.1.42 billion. The company informed media that it will be widening and upgrading the state highways (SH-20) bordering Delhi in 15 months. Another project valued at Rs.2.40 billion has been made in which, Unity Infraprojects along with Backbone Enterprises Ltd will jointly execute widening, strengthening of drains, culverts and bridges in areas falling under Murthal-Sonepat-Sampla-Jhajjar-Dadri Road (section of SH-20) and Gurgaon-Farrukhnagar-Jhajjar Road (SH-15 A). The time frame for the project is 18 months.

The company further stated that with these, Unity has clinched orders worth Rs.6.05 billion in May alone and it is the first time that the firm is tackling state road projects. Last week, for an estimated Rs.1.54 billion, Unity bagged a contract from PWD Building Project Division B-121 Prison Complex Mandoli, Delhi.
Currently 10 malls in Maharashtra is been executed by the company, of which five are with the company and the other five include Magarpatta Retail Pvt Ltd, India Bulls, Big Malls, Avinash Bhoslen Group, and Phoenix Mills. Abhijit Avarsekar-Unity’s managing director and vice-president, said the company is now planning to enter infrastructure projects in irrigation and water supply sectors.
