Colgate Palmolive India Ltd reported a net profit of Rs 55.62 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2008 as compared with Rs 50.59 crore shown in the same quarter of 2007.

Total revenue for the quarter has increased to Rs 412.73 crore from Rs 360.60 crore in the year-ago period.

For the year ended March 31, 2008, the company posted a net profit of Rs 23hi

1.71 crore (Rs 160.17 crore) on revenues of Rs 1,558.16 crore (Rs 1,362.14 crore)

The Board of Directors at its meeting held on May 30 has approved recommendation of a final dividend of Rs 7 per share for the year ended March 31, 2008.

The Register of Members & Share Transfer Books of the company will remain closed from July 10 to 17, 2008(both days inclusive) for the purpose of payment of final dividend.
