Prepare yourself to pay more, petrol to go up by Rs 3
Oil prices are about to go up across India. External Affairs Minister, Pranab Mukherjee, who leads the empowered Group of Ministers on Petroleum, will have a meet with Congress President Sonia Gandhi at 1600 hrs IST on Friday.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Petroleum Minister Murli Deora, Finance Minister P Chidamabaram and Sonia Gandhi also had a meeting on Thursday evening.
Though there was no final decision,it is said that they have agreed to marginally increase the price of petroleum products for the present moment. Petrol price could rise by Rs 3 per litre and branded petrol would cost even more.
