General Motors Corp to produce cleaner diesel vehicle


General Motors Corp. proposed to introduce heavy diesel vehicles which run on cleaner fuel technology. This technology will be adopted in trains, buses & other vehicles. GM will spend $2.5 million on research for obtaining less carbon exhaust from vehicles which is the clean fuel technology. The research will also be conducted for finding other fuel source.

As a issue of testing, GM will equip 35 school buses with “particulate trap” which is desgined to eliminate de dust like exhaust particles. By removing these particles 70% of toxics will be removed from the emission. A case study has reported that 1 of every 1,000 cancer cases are attributed to diesel toxins.

GM is also concentrating on research section for development of natural gas powered vehicles. These new technologies will definitely make the vehicles pollution free.
